Waste is Worth Initiative Supports Foundation for Slum Child Care with 50,000 Baht Donation

On the 25th of October 2024, Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Leasing & Service (Thailand) Co., Ltd. proudly donated 50,000 baht to the Foundation for Slum Child Care as part of our ongoing commitment to community support through the Waste is Worth initiative. This program encourages employees to actively participate in segregating waste and donating recyclable materials to organizations working on sustainability projects, such as Precious Plastic Bangkok, The Mirror Foundation, the Green Shelter Project, and the Baan Phai Community. The total amount of the donated recyclables was converted into a monetary donation.

The 50,000 baht was presented to the Foundation for Slum Child Care at the Baan Som Wai Daycare Center in Klong Toey. In addition to the donation, our team spent a memorable day with the children, playing games and serving them a nutritious lunch. We believe that small actions, like recycling and waste segregation, can lead to significant positive changes, and we are proud to have contributed to both environmental sustainability and the well-being of underprivileged children in our community. This donation will support the foundation’s mission to improve the lives of children living in slum areas.

Together, we continue to prove that “Waste truly is worth something
